About Castle Rock Estate

Family owned and run, Rob Diletti is the current driving force behind Castle Rock Estate. A celebrated wine maker, taking out almost all the domestic wine making trophies there are, Rob is also a celebrated wine judge. This led him to be selected among 12 scholars for the Len Evans tutorial in 2005.

Finding and establishing the property is the legacy of Rob’s parents Angelo and Wendy. Both Angelo and Wendy were both health professionals in Perth before Angelo took the position of Director of Nursing at Albany Hospital. The move drew them back to their roots of working the land - they searched far and wide in the Great Southern for the perfect site to establish their dream vineyard. When the Castle Rock site came up for sale - when the soil and water tests came back positive, they couldn’t resist purchasing the property. The first vines were planted in 1981 and further planting followed in 1983.
